Solid Things

Working hands-1509

I need to find the grace of solid things,

wood, glass, stone;

to go below the surface,

for a unique song

locked away long ago by

water, earth or fire.

What the mind conjures,

free-floating and insubstantial,

needs balanced by solid things

that share their compositions

only when seduced by humility.
